Vision: With new wood-look tiles replacing the carpet and laminate on the ground level, the wet bar needed an update, and we wanted a more sophisticated and rustic feel.

Cooler: We opted to upgrade the mini-fridge to a dual zone beverage center perfect for chilling both beer and wine, as well as spirits and fizzy drinks. We found this one online at Kings Bottle.

Countertop: We loved that the soft creams, warm browns, and cool grays in MSI’s Caravelas Gold Granite (Home Depot) tied into the grays and browns we had in store for the ground level.

Wet bar sink: With the dual-zone beer and wine cooler, we needed a compact bar sink and happily settled on a 17×17 square hammered copper sink with faucet we found on Wayfair by Premier Copper Products.

Backsplash: Elida Ceramica Ledgwood Stone Porcelain Linear Wall Tile (Lowe’s) paired nicely with the countertops, cabinets, floors, and sink, giving the bar area the more rustic feel we wanted.

Cabinet: We loved the look of Kraftmaid’s cherry wood cabinet in Baltic Finish (Home Depot) with the other finishes for the under-sink cabinet. The knobs and pulls (Home Depot) are beveled knob matte black and craftsman pull matte black.

Floating shelves: Crafted from solid wood with pine and dark walnut finishes, Bernardo Rustic Luxe Tiered Wall Mounted Wine Glass Racks (Wayfair), added a rustic storage space for barware.

Seating: We donated the café seating, shuffling the chess/checker table over to replace it beneath the window overlooking the pool deck as the height and wood finish better compliment the window frame. We also donated the couch that separated the wet bar area from the rest of the ground level space, replacing it with a watery blue, green, and white barrel chair originally located upstairs to open up the space and add color.
