One of our favorite things about The Blue Heron can also be one of the hardest things for photos to do justice…the views!

Only 167 yards (250 feet) stand between The Blue Heron and Duck, N.C.’s top-rated beaches. Unlike other more developed beaches, Duck’s Sound Sea Village boasts large, wide lots. The Blue Heron’s position overlooking the beach access–which is private (for the subdivision’s owners and guests only)–translates to ocean views few third-row beach homes can deliver!

Taken from the front porch, the picture above captures the ocean view as the sun sets over the sound. Here’s a similar shot taken from the living room on a rainy day.

Optimally placed to provide the best views, the top-level windows, porches, and patios make it easy to feel connected to the beach and nature.

And we’ve arranged the living room couches and chairs, front porch dining table and rocking Adirondack chairs, and back patio lounge furniture to maximize those views!

With undeveloped lots to the north and south of The Blue Heron filled with wild bushes and trees, the views from the bedrooms don’t disappoint either! But more on that in another post.
